Walden House

A restored Richard Neutra residence above the canyon. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, original terrazzo, and a Hockney-blue pool.

Conceived by Neutra in 1962 and quietly restored in 2021, Walden House preserves the original Pirelli rubber flooring, walnut casework, and steel sash windows while introducing a contemporary kitchen, a primary suite with a sunken tub, and an entirely re-engineered electrical system.
