A new Olson Kundig commission, Solana is built into the hillside above Coldwater Canyon. Twelve-foot glass-and-steel doors slide back into the wall to fold the house open to its view. The 11,200-square-foot plan includes six bedrooms, a 1,400-square-foot primary suite, and a hidden cinema accessed through a Carrara-marble pivot door. The infinity-edge pool reaches toward downtown Los Angeles.
